Kuroo's reaction gives him pause. The last thing he wants is for Kuroo to walk away from this with the idea that Daichi's turning this into a joke. There's something about Kuroo's tone, though, and especially the way he comes closer and mock-punches him that says he's not serious. Any other time that might be enough to get Daichi to relax but not until he's sure he's been understood right now, even if Kuroo doesn't feel the same way (which is the expected outcome, really; Valentine's Day likely started off just to see how Daichi'd react, and it was only the roses that made it something more).]
